I know I am super late to share this mani here, but still there is one last Diwali celebration remain, known as Dev Diwali litteraly meaning Diwali of Gods, which takes place fifteen days after Diwali.

It is believed that Gods descend from heaven to bathe in  Ganga on this day. Dev Diwali is hence celebrated.

On this day, thousands of Diyas (earthen lamps) are let to float in the holy water of the Ganges, paying respects to the Gods who have descended. This is a traditional ritual which has been in practice for long. Wishing you a very Happy Dev Diwali.

I created this mani on Diwali, but got no time to edit and share here, You know the celebrations also bring lots of household work too. So now I finally have got the time to share it.

I have tried to capture the environment on Diwali eve within my limitation and as quick as possible. Houses lighted  with Diyas and decorative lights and Rangoli, sky full of colorful crackers, and streets full with children and adults enjoying crackers and celebrating the festival with lots of happiness.  Overall a very happy time of a year. I know there are lots of mistakes and flaws, but as I said drawing objects  isn’t my comfort zone, But I just wanted to draw it on Diwali and I am happy that I did it.  And believe me drawing those two tiny  children was the toughest part. (Lol…they look so funny, a complete disaster) 😉 I quite like how my thumb part turned out bit clean compared to other fingers. What do you say?

I hope to see you soon with new manicure.

Thank you for taking time to visit.
