Hi Ladies! How are you? Hope everything is good at your end! ^_^

Today I am sharing swatch, my review and some nailart on top of a Lakme Nail polish. This is for the first time I have used any of Lakme products. The nail polish I am reviewing today is a true wear nail color D417 by Manish Malhotra – A famous fashion designer of India, well known as Bollywood celebs designer and wedding cloth designer.

This shade is a perfect match for a wedding dress, and perfect for fall season manis. The color is difficult to describe in one word, because it behaves differently under different lights. It’s a dark cherry maroon brown red for me! (lol) What’s your screen says? The camera is not able to capture the exact shade.

Ahhhh well whatever it is….I quite like this shade and it looks beautiful under sunlight, unfortunately I do not have a picture under direct sunlight. This are late night swatches so excuse me for all the mistakes. 🙂
The formula is creamy and bit runny, so need to handle with care else it will flood the cuticles, opaque in two coats, however you see in the pictures are three coats. Drying time is average. Dries out with an impressive saloon shine. You will definitely need a top coat for a smooth finish, as it doesn’t adjust itself.

Not happy with cap and brush. It looks like Lakme is least concerned about it. The odd caps are very irritating, doesn’t fit on a bottle perfectly and cracks very easily. And yes, the color leaves red stains on nails so base coat is advised before application. The self life of a bottle is 36 months and it cost 110 INR for 9 ml. It’s available in 100 rs on online websites. 🙂
And finally here are some flowers on top of this polish. Not at all happy with it. Late night manis are not my cup of tea, but I need to practice it as now a days I hardly get time to do my nails during day time. So hope to come out with some good nail arts in future, till then enjoy this flowers.

Hope you like the post, will see you soon with new mani.
Thank you for visiting, reading and commenting! 🙂 ^_^

  1. It's a shame this nail polish has several flaws because the colour is wonderful, such a classy elegant shade! I love your nail art, too!
